Anyone choosing the best Google Ads agency for hotels and resorts in Bengaluru can run a quick check first: type your property's name into Google and note who appears above your website. Often it is a travel portal, paid to sit there, earning commission on a guest who already knew exactly where they wanted to stay.

Below, we set out how we run paid search for Bangalore hotels, weekend resorts, airport properties and banquet venues. It covers the brand campaign that wins those name searches back, how paid hotel campaigns sit beside Google's free booking links, the banquet and offsite searches that bring large groups, and why every ad points to your own booking engine. It also covers the rules: no liquor promotion on Google in India, and no star rating the property does not hold.

  • ₹4,999is where our monthly fee begins, while Google charges every click to your own account
  • ~30 daysto connect booking-engine tracking, build the brand and venue campaigns, and collect first data
  • No liquorGoogle does not allow alcohol ads in India; zero-alcohol drinks only after certification
  • Directbookings made on your own engine, calls and venue enquiries are what we count

Why do hotel Google Ads accounts lose money?

Most of the waste we find in hotel accounts is not a bidding problem. It comes from what the campaign is pointed at and what it treats as a win.

  • Leaving the name to the portals. When the property does not bid on its own name, OTAs and metasearch sites often do, and a guest who wanted you books through them and you pay their commission.
  • Sending clicks to the home page. A guest who clicked a weekend-package ad lands on a general page, cannot see a price or dates, and returns to the OTA that showed both.
  • Counting clicks, not stays. Without booking engine conversion tracking, Google optimises toward whoever clicks most cheaply, which is rarely the guest who books three nights.
  • Broad keywords with no negatives. Searches for hotel jobs, hotel management courses, free stays and other properties' names eat budget unless they are blocked.
  • Ads that break the rules. Promoting the bar, a drinks package or a star category the property has not been granted gets ads disapproved and can mislead guests.

How does the best Google Ads agency for hotels and resorts in Bengaluru split the first month's budget?

We start with the money that is closest to a booking. The brand campaign comes first because those searchers have already chosen you and a click there usually costs little; losing that guest to a portal costs a full commission. Next come the campaigns that match what the property actually sells best, whether that is weekend stays, offsites or layovers.

Broad queries like resorts around bangalore are crowded with portals and large chains, and clicks there are dear. We test them later, with tight locations and negatives, once tracking shows what a booking from the brand campaign is worth. Month one is for clean measurement, not maximum reach.

Own name, every variant

Brand name bidding covers the full name, short forms, misspellings and the name plus Kanakapura Road, Nandi Hills or Whitefield, with negatives so a sister property's searches do not cross over.

Ads that answer the comparison

Headlines carry what portals cannot: direct-booking perks you really offer, such as a flexible check-in or a breakfast inclusion, stated exactly as the guest will receive them.

Distance-led resort targeting

Weekend-resort ads target people in Bengaluru, not the resort's village, since guests search from home in Koramangala, HSR Layout or Hebbal before driving out.

Schedules by guest type

Leisure ads lean into weeknight evenings when families plan the weekend; airport ads run late into the night; offsite ads run office hours when HR and admin teams work.

Budgets that follow the calendar

Spend rises before long weekends, school holidays, Christmas–New Year and the year-end offsite rush, and falls back after, rather than sitting flat.

Negatives from day one

Jobs, courses, internships, free stays, hostel searches and other brands' names go into the negative list before launch and are reviewed every week.

What does hotel Google Ads management include?

Our Google Ads management for a property is a handful of separate campaigns, every one funded and judged separately, so a cheap brand click never hides an expensive offsite campaign that is not working.

Brand defence campaign

Exact and phrase match on the property name, its common misspellings and name-plus-area searches, with sitelinks to rooms, offers and the booking page, so your own listing sits first when a guest already knows you.

What ad budget does a Bengaluru property need for Google?

No honest agency can name a budget before seeing the property. A brand campaign for a single resort often needs a modest daily budget because the name is searched a limited number of times; an offsite campaign competing with large convention hotels needs more. We set a test budget for each campaign, show it to you in writing separately from our fee, and change it only on what the tracking shows.

A useful way to judge spend is against what a portal would have taken for the same stay. If a direct booking from an ad costs you less than the commission you would have paid, the campaign is earning its place. That comparison needs real conversion data, which is why tracking comes before scale.

For a city-wide view of the service, read our Google Ads guide for Bengaluru and the services list.

  • How often guests search your property's name, which sets the brand campaign's size.
  • Whether you sell weekend stays, offsites, weddings or layovers, since venue enquiries carry a higher value.
  • How many portals and chains bid against you for the same searches.
  • Whether your booking engine can report completed reservations back to Google.
  • Season: long weekends and year-end months cost more per click than quiet midweek periods.
  • How many properties or venues share the account.

How do the opening weeks of a hotel campaign unfold?

Diagram of how KaamGPT runs Google Ads management for hotels and resorts in Bengaluru: Audit and goals; Tracking first; Pages and ads; Launch and learn; Weekly reports
  1. Audit and goals

We review any existing account, search your name to see who bids on it, and agree which bookings matter most and the value of each to the property.

  2. Tracking first

Conversions are connected through the booking engine, call tracking and enquiry forms, and tested with real bookings before a rupee is spent on new campaigns.

  3. Pages and ads

Landing pages for rooms, packages and venues are checked or built, and ads are written without star claims, liquor mentions or perks you do not give.

  4. Launch and learn

Brand and core campaigns go live first; we read the search terms daily in week one, add negatives and move budget toward bookings.

  5. Weekly reports

Each week brings a brief update covering spend, direct bookings, calls and enquiries, and a monthly review of what to grow, change or switch off.

Which hotels and resorts get the most from paid search?

  • Weekend resortsProperties on Kanakapura Road, near Nandi Hills or on the Devanahalli side, chosen by city families for one or two nights out.
  • Airport hotelsRooms near Kempegowda International Airport for layovers, early flights, delayed arrivals and visiting airline crew.
  • Business hotelsProperties in Electronic City, Whitefield, ORR and MG Road booked by travel desks and visiting teams.
  • Banquet and convention venuesHalls and lawns selling weddings, conferences and annual days, where one enquiry can fill the property for a weekend.
  • Farm stays and boutique staysSmaller properties on Sarjapur Road and beyond that need their own name to outrank the listing sites.
  • HomestaysRegistered homestays in Karnataka's hill districts that want Bengaluru guests to book them directly.
  • Serviced apartmentsLong-stay rooms for relocating employees and project teams near the tech parks, booked by HR and admin teams.

Who searches for a hotel or resort on Google around Bengaluru?

Three quite different buyers type into the same search box. Leisure guests, whether families, couples or college friends, plan an escape from the city for the weekend, weighing pools, food, pet rules and driving distance before they book. Business travellers and the travel desks that book for them want a room close to the office they are visiting, in MG Road, Hebbal near Manyata Tech Park, Outer Ring Road or Whitefield. Transit guests want a bed near Kempegowda International Airport, which lies near Devanahalli, roughly 35 km to the north, for a late arrival or a dawn departure.

Each buyer searches differently. A weekend guest types something like kids pool resort near bangalore one night or day out resort kanakapura road. A travel desk types the hotel name plus the area, or business hotel hebbal manyata. A layover guest types hotel near bangalore airport with words like hourly or transit. And an HR team planning a quarter-end offsite searches offsite venue near bangalore for 80 people weeks ahead, then asks for a quote rather than booking online.

Dates shape everything. April–May vacations, long weekends, rainy-season escapes, Dasara, Diwali and the Christmas to New Year stretch lift leisure searches; corporate offsites and year-end parties bunch into the last quarter; wedding seasons fill banquet calendars. Paid search for a Bangalore hotel has to move budget with those dates, not run at one flat level all year.

Why should a hotel bid on its own name when it already ranks first?

Ranking first in the organic results is not the same as being the first thing a guest sees. Above those results, ad slots are sold to whoever bids, and travel portals and metasearch sites regularly bid on hotel names because a person searching for one specific property is about as ready to book as a searcher gets. When the hotel is absent from those slots, the guest clicks the portal ad, books there, and the property pays commission on a reservation it had already earned.

A brand campaign puts the property's own ad in that space. Clicks on your own name are usually cheap since ad and query match closely, and the ad can carry things a portal listing cannot: the direct-booking page, a sitelink to the banquet hall, the phone number of the front desk, and any perk you actually give guests who book with you.

There are limits. A brand campaign does not stop a portal from bidding on your name; it only makes sure you are in the auction too. What you can do is make sure your own ad is present, relevant and pointing straight to the booking engine, so a guest who wanted you has an easy way to book you.

  • Bid on the full name, short forms, common misspellings and name-plus-locality searches.
  • Use sitelinks for rooms, packages, dining, the venue and directions.
  • Keep a separate budget so brand clicks never compete with generic campaigns for money.
  • Check the auction insights report monthly to see which portals appear on your name.

Do paid hotel campaigns affect your free booking links?

No, and this matters for planning. Google's free booking links show a property's name, website and room rate in Google Search and Google Maps, under the options a traveller can book through. There is no charge either to be listed or per click. Google's own help page says that taking part in paid hotel ads, or not, has no bearing on how a property ranks in free booking links. Ranking there depends on signals such as what travellers prefer, the value of the rate, the quality of the page a guest lands on, and a track record of correct prices.

So free booking links are not a reward for spending, and paid campaigns are not insurance for free placement. They are two separate things to run well. A property connected to Hotel Center, often through its reservation system or channel manager, should make sure the free-link URL sends guests to its own website to book directly, since Google requires that rather than a third-party page.

The reporting is separate too. Free-link clicks appear in Hotel Center's reports, not in Google Ads, because those links carry neither a tracking template nor a campaign identifier. When we report to a hotel, we put both side by side and say clearly which bookings came from paid clicks and which came free, so nobody credits the ads with stays Google sent at no cost.

  • Free booking links: no fee, ranked on traveller preference, value, landing page and price accuracy.
  • Paid hotel campaigns: charged by Google to your account, with their own reporting in Google Ads.
  • Price accuracy affects free-link ranking, so the rates fed to Google must match the booking engine.
  • Hotel Center eligibility needs overnight guests, a front desk, an on-site manager or owner, and a public address and name.

How do search campaigns for banquets, offsites and MICE work?

Venue business is bought very differently from a room. An HR manager planning a team offsite, an event planner sourcing a conference hall, or a family booking a wedding venue rarely completes a purchase online. They search, shortlist three or four properties, ask for quotes, visit, and decide weeks or months later. The ad's job is to win a place on that shortlist with an enquiry that has dates, headcount and budget attached.

MICE search campaigns are built around what planners type: the event type, the number of people, the distance from the city and the facility they need. Examples include offsite resort near bangalore for 100 people, conference hall with stay devanahalli, annual day venue near whitefield and wedding venue with rooms kanakapura road. For exhibitions at BIEC on Tumkur Road, visiting exhibitors search for rooms near the venue in the days before an event.

The landing page has to answer a planner's checklist without a phone call: hall sizes in seating layouts, rooms available as a block, AV, meal plans, travel time from the airport and city, and photos of the actual spaces. The form collects the date, guest count and kind of event, and the enquiry goes to the sales team quickly. Where the sales desk wants help qualifying and following up those enquiries, our hotel enquiry-handling page explains that work.

  • Separate ad groups for offsites, conferences, weddings, social events and year-end parties.
  • Office-hours schedules for corporate searches; evenings and weekends for wedding searches.
  • A conversion value for each qualified enquiry, agreed with your sales team.
  • Offline import of confirmed events, so bidding learns which enquiries turned into business.

What can a hotel's Google ads say about its bar, its stars and its offers?

Google keeps a list of markets that permit drinks advertising, and India is absent from it. A hotel can advertise its rooms, restaurant, pool, events and stay packages, but not its bar, cocktails, liquor brands or drinks deals. Alcohol-free or near alcohol-free versions are the one exception, and only once Google has certified the advertiser. Meta has different rules, which our hotel Meta Ads guide explains, but what Meta allows does not change what Indian law forbids.

Consumer protection rules issued by the CCPA in 2022 ban surrogate advertising, where something that may not be advertised is promoted in disguise as something else. A 'party package' ad that is really selling unlimited liquor falls into that trap. The same guidelines cover bait offers and claims of 'free', so if a package says breakfast or airport pickup is free, the ad must reflect exactly what is included.

Star ratings need care as well. Star categories in India come from a voluntary Ministry of Tourism scheme for operating hotels, running from one star to five-star deluxe, each grant lasting five years; applying for four or five stars with alcohol service needs a bar licence. Unless that grant is in hand, keep 'five-star' out of every ad and landing page. We describe what the property actually has instead: the pool, the room sizes, the dining, the lawns.

  • No bar, liquor brand, happy-hour or drinks-package ads on Google in India.
  • No disguised liquor promotion under party or event packages.
  • 'Free' only for what the guest really receives, with conditions stated.
  • Star categories only when the Ministry of Tourism classification is held and current.

How is booking engine conversion tracking set up for a hotel?

Most hotel websites hand the guest over to a separate booking engine to choose dates and pay. If tracking stops at the website, the account sees a click on 'Book now' and nothing after it, and Google cannot tell a completed three-night stay from someone who looked at the price and left. We connect the confirmation step of the engine to Google Ads so a conversion is recorded only when a reservation is made, with its value where the engine allows it.

Calls get tracked separately. Many guests, especially for family stays and long weekends, phone the front desk instead of booking online. Call assets in ads and a tracked number on landing pages show which campaigns make the phone ring, and calls over an agreed length count as conversions. Venue enquiries are tracked as form submissions, then confirmed events are imported later as offline conversions with their real value.

Any form that collects a guest's name, phone or email must collect it lawfully. The DPDP Act of 2023, in its section 6, requires that agreement be freely given, specific and informed, shown through an unambiguous affirmative step, and confined to what the stated purpose needs, so enquiry forms say what the details will be used for and collect nothing more.

  • Conversion on the booking confirmation step, with reservation value where supported.
  • Calls from ads and from landing pages, counted above a minimum duration.
  • Venue and event enquiry forms, with confirmed events imported later.
  • A weekly check that bookings in Google Ads match bookings in the engine's own report.

Frequently asked questions

27 answers
Week to week, what does a Google Ads agency for hotels and resorts in Bangalore handle?

It goes through the queries behind your ads and blocks the wasteful ones, adjusts bids and budgets by campaign, refreshes ad copy and sitelinks for upcoming packages, checks that bookings recorded in Google Ads match the booking engine, and moves money toward long weekends or offsite season ahead of time. You get a short note each week on spend, direct bookings, calls and venue enquiries.

Why do travel portals show up when guests search our hotel's name?

Portals and metasearch sites bid on the names of hotels and resorts in Google Ads because a person searching one property by name is close to booking. If your hotel is not bidding too, their ad can sit above your own website. The guest clicks, books through them, and the property pays commission on a guest who was already looking for it.

Is brand name bidding worth it if our resort already ranks first organically?

Usually, yes, for most resorts. Organic first place sits below the ad slots, so a portal's ad can still appear above you. Clicks on your own name tend to be inexpensive because the ad matches the search closely, and the ad can link straight to your booking page, venue details and front desk number. We check auction insights to show you who else appears on your name.

Can we stop OTAs from bidding on our hotel name?

A Google Ads campaign cannot stop another advertiser from entering the auction for your name. What it does is put your own ad in that space, pointing to direct booking, so the guest has a clear choice. Any contractual question about what a portal may bid on sits in your agreement with that portal, which is for you and your lawyer, not something an ad campaign settles.

Do free booking links cost a hotel anything?

No. Google's help pages tell hotels there is no fee to appear in free booking links or for the clicks they receive, and that running paid hotel ads or not does not change free-link ranking. Placement depends on what travellers favour, how good the rate is, the landing page and your price history.

Where are free-link clicks reported?

In Hotel Center's reports rather than Google Ads, because those links carry neither a tracking template nor a campaign identifier. When we report to hotels, we show free-link clicks next to paid results and label them separately, so free traffic is never counted as something the ads achieved.

Is our property eligible for Google Hotel Center?

Google's lodging rules ask that a hotel takes overnight guests, has a front desk, has an owner or manager on the premises, and publishes its name and address. Holiday rentals qualify only as furnished private units; tented or simple-shelter outdoor stays do not. Many hotels and resorts connect through their reservation system or channel manager, which may already link them.

Should Google ads for a resort go to our website or to an OTA listing?

To your own site and booking engine. Resorts that send paid traffic to a portal end up paying Google for the click and the portal for the booking. Your landing page should show the room, the real rate for the chosen dates and a clear button into the engine, so the guest does not need to go elsewhere to compare.

Can a Bengaluru hotel advertise its bar or cocktails on Google?

No. India is not among the countries where Google permits alcohol ads, so the bar, liquor brands, happy hours and drinks packages stay out of Google campaigns. Alcohol-free drinks become possible only once Google certifies the account. You can still advertise rooms, dining, the pool, events and stay packages.

Is a party package that includes unlimited drinks allowed in ads?

Not as a way to promote liquor. Misleading-advertisement guidelines the CCPA issued in 2022 forbid surrogate ads, where a restricted product is advertised in disguise. A New Year package can be advertised on its food, music, rooms and venue; the drinks component should not be the hook of a Google ad.

Can our hotel call itself five-star in Google ads?

Only when the Ministry of Tourism has classified it at that level. That scheme for operating hotels is voluntary and each grant runs five years. Without it, ads and landing pages should describe the facilities instead, like room sizes, the pool, a spa or the banquet halls, rather than claim a star category.

How much does KaamGPT charge to manage Google Ads for a hotel in Bengaluru?

For hotels and resorts management is priced from ₹4,999 per month, which pays for building the account, ads, conversion tags, weekly changes and a report; expect live campaigns in about 30 days. Every property gets a written quote first. Clicks are paid to Google from your account, never through us.

Who settles the click charges with Google?

Hotels pay Google directly. Campaigns sit in an account the property owns, on its payment method, and Google charges your card or account for every click. Our fee is only for the management work, so the media spend is fully visible to you and never marked up.

How long before hotel Google Ads bring direct bookings?

A brand campaign can start taking bookings within days of launch, because those guests already want you. For resorts, offsite, wedding and generic campaigns take longer: the early weeks go mainly on clean tracking, search-term pruning and learning which searches book. Venue enquiries can take weeks to turn into confirmed events, so judge them over a season.

How do you track a booking made inside a separate booking engine?

We place the conversion on the engine's confirmation step, using the engine's own Google Ads integration or a tag where it allows one, and pass the reservation value when the engine supports it. Then we test it with real bookings. If the engine cannot report back, we use calls and a manual weekly match against its booking report instead.

Do phone calls to the front desk count as conversions?

Yes. At many hotels, families and older guests call instead of booking online, especially before long weekends. Call assets on ads and a tracked number on landing pages show which campaigns produce calls, and calls longer than an agreed duration count as conversions so bidding values them.

How do you advertise corporate offsites near Bengaluru on Google?

With MICE search campaigns built on what planners type: event type, headcount, distance and facilities, such as offsite resort for 80 people near the airport. Ads run in office hours, the landing page shows halls, room blocks, meals and photos, and the form asks for date and guest numbers. Confirmed events are imported later with their value.

Can a hotel near the airport run ads for layover guests?

Yes. Because the airport lies by Devanahalli, hotels in Bagalur, Yelahanka or Devanahalli itself can target searches like transit hotel bangalore airport for one night. These ads should stay on through the night, carry a call asset and state the transfer arrangements you really provide.

Which months matter most for resort ads around Bengaluru?

For leisure stays: every long weekend, the summer school break in April and May, monsoon trips, the Dasara and Diwali holidays, and the run from Christmas to New Year. Corporate offsites and year-end parties bunch into the last quarter, and wedding seasons drive banquet searches. We raise budgets ahead of those windows and bring them down after.

Should weekend resort ads target the resort's own location?

Mostly not. Guests choosing resorts plan a Kanakapura Road or Nandi Hills stay from home, in Bengaluru neighbourhoods such as Koramangala, Indiranagar or Hebbal, so ads target where the guests live. The resort's own area is targeted mainly for people already travelling nearby or searching for directions.

What keywords should a resort block in Google Ads?

Jobs, careers, internships, hotel management courses, free stays, hostel and PG searches, and the names of other properties you do not want to appear for. We add these before launch and review the search terms every week, because searches for hotels attract a steady stream of job-seekers and students.

Do registered homestays in Karnataka benefit from Google Ads?

A small brand campaign can help a homestay keep its own name from portals. Karnataka's tourism department brought out a 2025 revision of its homestay registration rules and a circular dated April 2026, so confirm your registration against the notified rules before advertising. Ads should describe the home and hosts truthfully.

What access to the booking engine do you require?

For most hotels we need enough access to place or verify the conversion tag on the confirmation step and to see the engine's booking report for matching, or your engine provider's help to do it. We do not need payment details or guest records, and we never ask for them.

Is the enquiry form on our venue page DPDP-compliant?

It should be. Hotels collecting guest details must follow the DPDP Act: permission should be specific and freely given through a deliberate tick or click, covering only what the enquiry needs. The form therefore asks for name, phone, date and headcount, explains the purpose, and collects nothing extra.

Why hire a Google Ads agency for hotels and resorts in Bangalore over a generalist?

Hotel accounts have problems a general account does not: portals bidding on your name, free booking links that are reported elsewhere, booking engines on separate domains, venue sales with long lead times, and alcohol and star-rating rules. A team that already plans for those spends less of your budget learning them.

Can you also run Meta and SEO for our hotel?

Yes, if it helps. Search ads catch people who are already looking; social ads build demand before they search; SEO and local SEO bring free visits over time. Our <a href="/best-seo-company-for-hotels-and-resorts-in-bengaluru">hotel SEO guide</a> and <a href="/best-local-seo-agency-for-hotels-and-resorts-in-bengaluru">hotel local SEO guide</a> cover those, and each is priced separately.

What is the first step to hire your Google Ads agency for hotels and resorts in Bangalore?

Send us your property name, booking engine and what you want more of, whether rooms, offsites, weddings or layovers. We search your name to see who bids on it, review any existing account, and send a written plan with our fee and a suggested test budget. Our number is +91 79767 82366.
